The Big Bambu is a seminal architectural installation and constantly evolving construction, formed by a network of more than 2,000 fresh-cut bamboo poles lashed together. This web-like sculpture was located on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum in fall 2010. Mike + Doug Starn are identical twins that work collaboratively exploring several realms of art; photography, sculpture, painting, video and installation.
